Some are countries.
Some are states.
Some are territories, regions, or peoples.
Some are recognised. Some are disputed. Some are ignored.
All of them matter.
The Flag Collection Project is an attempt to map the political and cultural reality of the world through its flags.
Not just what is officially recognised, but what is flown, defended, claimed, and remembered.
